Friday, September 14th – Movie release day. Quiet night tonight? Check out these two flicks coming out today. Let’s get uplifted this weekend with Viola Davis, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Holly Hunter in, “Won’t Back Down.” The film tells the story of two determined mother who work tirelessly to save their children’s crumbling inner city school. And keeping it family friendly, go ahead and check out Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Andy Samberg in “Hotel Transylvania.” This animated flick is perfect for all your little boils and ghouls!
Friday, September 28th – Call them, ‘Southern’ or call them ‘Sludge’ just don’t call them soft! That’s right NOLA’s own Down is coming to The Best Buy Theater tonight! This longtime super-group is made up of premiere members from Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, EyeHateGod, and of course Phil Anselmo of Pantera. The boys will be hitting the stage later in the evening but be sure to catch openers by Saint Vitus, WARBEAST, and Haarp. (Best Buy Theater)

Friday, September 29th – Sunday, September 30th – The weather is projected to be be quite unkind this weekend, so we got one of the best indoor events to boast about. It’s the, “Travel and Leisure Global Bazaar” going down at the gigantic Lexington Armory. The three-day extravaganza promises to be a travel lover’s dream, recreating the energy, lively visuals, and authentic tastes from destinations around the globe. This year’s event will also support a great cause, with a percentage of ticket sales benefiting Room to Read, which focuses on improving literacy and gender equality in education in the developing world.
